"When planning to be great in life... it’s important to remember the importance of being good.  Naman appreciated the difference, and pursued both with equal passion...his goofy laugh and endearing smile, his positive outlook and unwavering optimism.  All of us are inspired by the short but good life of our young friend, Naman. Naman Shah's life truly mattered, to all of us."

In Loving Memory: A Short But Meaningful Life

That's what he was like, he always looked out for everybody; whether you were his best friend, or somebody he'd just met, he always made you feel comfortable.  Knowing Naman instantly made you feel more fulfilled as a person, he definitely brought out all of your good qualities."

-Amanda Prifti, Northeastern Student

"Looking back now, we know that Naman’s greatest impact on the world would be the brilliant light in his brilliant personality, and that his light would spread to anyone who has ever met him. On behalf of his friends in the Dominican Republic and SEI, we can confidently say that knowing Naman if only for a short period in his brilliant life, has reminded us that we often take for granted the moments and people that make us laugh. And that for the rest of our lives, we will remember Naman for his camaraderie and for his light heartedness, for his uncanny ability to make us laugh, for the delight he shared with others and his contagious love."

-Esther Chou, Assistant Director of SEI, Northeastern

"He was a happy kid.  He had a good sense of humor and liked to joke around....He was involved in several charities.  In fact he was someone who was very quiet about it and never mentioned them to us."

-Shrey Shah,

Naman's father

"We will all remember his enormous heart and the way he selflessly gave to so many causes that he thought were important. We all pictured his infectious smile and incredible laugh when stories were told about his humorous and lighthearted nature that we all knew and loved....there were not as many genuinely good people as Naman."

-Tim Spittle, Student at Northeastern University

"He was everybody's best friend on the trip and we were all his best friends.  He was like a brother to me.  Naman just brought such a happiness, he was so full of life."

-Max Kilb, Student at Northeastern University

Genuine. Fun. Loving.  That was Naman.  He always made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room.  He cared, and he had more fun than anyone else, no matter what the situation.  Naman truly was one of a kind.  I will never forget him, and his memory will live on in my heart, inspiring me each and every day.

Naman will forever be in our hearts.  And while his time here was cut short, he will forever live through the legacy he left.  Naman accomplished more in his twenty-one years than many do in a lifetime, and it certainly did not go unnoticed.  Please help us keep Naman's dreams alive.  Help us continue to inspire and change hearts as Naman changed ours.  And let us all be reminded of the importance of cherishing every life, every day, and every moment.  Just as Naman always did.

"I am truly touched by everyone’s generosity, support and compassion. Naman always had a special knack for connecting with people but I never considered that he would touch all so many from all walks of life and every corner of the world, irrespective of color, creed, race, religion or economic stratum."

-Shrey Shah, Naman's father

"Naman was undoubtedly the glue that brought cohesion to our group. And now he’s the cement that will be sure to keep us forever connected."

"Naman has been a true role model for our generation. His discipline, as well as his fundamental priorities and ethics were superior to his peers. Aside from his dedication to being the best he could be, Naman strived to create happiness for anyone around him. Having the funniest jokes and most entertaining exchanges, he enhanced the atmosphere in the room. UTSAV members will forever remember him for his positive demeanor, friendliness, and of course, his annual thrusting at NATARAJ. From Milford, MA to Northeastern University, I am truly blessed to have known Naman for so long and see him emerge as such an influential person."

I struggle to find many people that have a big heart, a lively soul, the ability to be friend with and accept every kind of person, a constant willingness to learn something new, and a determination to make people smile, feel good and be positive, all at the same time. Naman embodied all these quality. Life will never be the same without him.
R.I.P. buddy. You will always be in our heart, mind and soul.

-Joseph Fissore, Student at Northeastern University
